The only thing i can do here is speak from the heart and i apologise in advance for any upset
caused.
My so called brother Martin is Joshua's daddy and for many many reasons i've never got on with him,
to name but a few he stole jewellery from my new born son, treated my mum badly and is an alcholic
but that didn't stop me wanting my beautiful nephew to be part of my life.
Joshua's mum didn't really want her baby and often came to my house starving, having not eaten for
days. I'd make her eat a bowl of soup and bread just to get some nourishment into her.
On the 21st May i heard via a relative that Joshua had been born sleeping and although i didn't get
on with Martin i phoned him and offered my condolences, he promptly put the phone down. I then
telephoned the hospital and asked to go and see Joshua to say goodbye but Martin had already told
them to refuse me. I was in a total state of shock, i so wanted the chance to say goodbye to Joshua
and spent a very long time grieving for him because i wasn't even allowed to attend his funeral.
Through sneaky methods i eventually found where Joshua was laid to rest and visited as often as i
could, leaving teddies and flowers for him but leaving no name to identify me. On Sunday i went to
his grave again and broke down at what i found... His grave couldn't be seen for a huge conifer tree
which Martin had planted years before and i've not been able to get Joshua out of my mind since. As
if by fate my husband saw Martin today and told him how upset i've been and asked for his number. I
rang him as soon as i could tonight and was told that daddy hadn't been to Joshua's resting place
for about 5yrs. I told him that he needed to sort his son's grave out and get rid of the tree, i was
politely told to do it myself because he wasn't going there again.
Joshua darling, auntie Jan will get your grave sorted out for you sweetheart as soon as i'm able to
and i'll make it as pretty as you so deserve and that's a promise baby boy. I have never forgotten
you darling and i never will, you'll live in my heart for ever. You're safe now with your Nanna and
Grampy, they'll look after you and give you all the love you'll ever need.

Hello my darling
Uncle Nigel is off work for two weeks now, so we'll get your resting place sorted out for you and make it look really pretty. I'll take some before and after pics, so all your lovely visitors can see how much you mean to me. I've already chosen a beautiful blue teddy for you sweetheart and i'm going to try and buy you a cross with your name engraved on it.
I so wish with all my heart that i'd been given the chance to meet you and say goodbye but that doesn't matter now darling, what matters is that you're lovingly remembered always.

I stood by your bed last night;
I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying you found it hard to sleep.
I spoke to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
'It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here.'
I was close to you at breakfast,
I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached to me.
I was with you at the shops today; your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today; you tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.
I flew with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently landed on you; I smiled and said, 'it's me.'
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was there.
It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, 'I never went away.'
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say 'good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning.'
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll fly across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you,
there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out...
then come home to be with me.
